COFFIN FAMILY LIFE SESSION #4
November 09th, 2008

I'm not going to go on my little rant again about time.  Well...ok yes I will.  Time sucks bites.  I mean...the time part doesn't bite, but the fact that it passes by so fast does.  We need a damn time machine.  This is ridiculous.  It's almost 2009, and we can send particles around a 50 mile track at the speed of light and smash them together, so I mean c'mon whats a little bendage of space and time gonna hurt?  Oh I wish how we could just live in the "good times" forever; but then you don't have any new "good times" to look forward to.  I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too (is that how it goes?).

It's amazing to me how it's already been nearly a year since I shot the Coffins 1st Life Session.

12/07

Those we're good times, but now is good times too because they have a new addition to the family that I photographed a few weeks back.  I knew from the very first session that Joe and Leah we're special.  Not like....da-der-derka special, but special in that they see the value in the style of photography that I subject them too (hehe).  I am so blessed to be able to have such great clients, that I will...literally....be photographing for probably the next 50 years or more.  It's such a humbling feeling to have clients like that.

Last night was the last session of the year.  Colby has grown so much!  It's so cool because she's like, "hi nick," and "bye nick."  Baby Elliot is growing so fast too.  He smiles!  It's soooo cute!  This time Joes parents, and Leah's mom came with.  The grandparents do NOT look like grandparents.  I don't know if they are taking some kind of youth pill that makes them look young, but I would love to get up on some of that!  Such a beautiful family!

This is the Coffin family's Life, the way I see it.

Baby Elliott is growing so fast!

Colby is going to break some boys hearts when she grows up!

Flying baby!

Through the 1" opening in the back of the bench.

Joe and Leah are so happy together.

Little sand in my ears last night, but worth it!

It was cool to be back at the same spot as their first session.  A year ago there was beach in front of this place.  Now theres no beach, just lapping waves.

I love this piece.

I thank you guys for letting me into your life. It's been a blast over the last year, and I am looking forward to the next 50!  See you guys next April!
