I’m in Austin!

Dane Sanders’ FastTrack Photographer workshop is being held at Studio 563′s pad in downtown tomorrow, so I’m going to slide in for a few to give a little demo on how photographers can use Showit as a global branding tool for their business. I am super pumped to meet some Austin peeps!

I took my family with me so after I speak we’re gonna head down to New Braunfels and maybe float down the river; then we’re off to San Antonio for a few days. Sweet!

If you are out and about be sure to pick up a copy of Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine.  One of my pictures from Tanya and Victors wedding last year was published.  If you go to the Barnes and Noble here in Pearland and you don’t find any copies it’s because I bought them all.

For the past couple of days I’ve been staying at David Jays place in Santa Barbara. It is SO pretty here but I could’nt live in Cali because I’m too scared of the ground opening up and eating me.

Jennifer and Thomas are high school sweethearts. You should have seen their prom photos; these kids haven’t changed a bit!  Another thing that hasn’t changed a bit is the way they feel towards each other.  If anything, the love between them has only gotten stronger. Every guest at this wedding was happy to be there.  Sometimes I shoot weddings where it looks like the guests are literally in pain because they are so un-happy there.  Not the case with Jennifer and Thomas’ wedding however.  The atmosphere that filled Cindy’s Palace last night was amazing!  So much love, and so much happiness in the air!

I love these types of weddings because I get so wrapped up with emotion, that my mind literally blanks out. For a long time last night, it felt like it was just me, my camera, and whoever I was shooting at.

Jennifer and Thomas, thank you for letting me be a special part of your day.  To Jennifers mom, thanks for being a cool Mother of the Bride.  To the video guys who are just starting out, keep on keepin on; you’ll get to where you want to be one day.  To the drunk guest who told me I was doing an awesome job, thanks man!  To the groomsmen who should be on the cover of GQ…yes you know who you are…yes I did get some great photos of you.  To the coordinator at Cindy’s Palace….just go with the flow right?  Thanks for making Jennifer and Thomas’ day easier.
