Just got word that Jennifer and Thomas’ wedding that I shot in August of last year was published in a local county magazine called Fort Bend Focus. Neat!
Nicola and Jason’s Wedding | Majestic Metro | Houston, TX

On Saturday I got to spend the day with Nicola and Jason. These kids got hitched at St Anne’s church in downtown Houston. BTW, if your a bride I strongly recommend NOT getting married there. Weddings are a “once-in-a-lifetime” event. It’s usually the result of years (or in some cases a lifetime) of planning. Whoever runs the show at St Annes needs to be fired. Myself along with the videographer we’re banished out of the church and to the top of the loft 2 stories up and a football field back. No joke. Of course, the only reason it’s like this now is because photographers must have broken rules in the past. However it’s not fair to punish present and future brides and their weddings from the actions of one photographer who didn’t follow the rules. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
The rest of the day however was beautiful! Nicola made for a stunning bride and Jason was making me wish I still had hair on the top of my head. Their reception was held at the Majestic Metro, the only still standing movie theater built in the 20′s. Sweet place. Lots of history. Nicola and Jason….congrats! Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Today I met up with Nicola at Hotel Icon here in Houston for her bridal session. She looked so beautiful in her dress! So stoked to shoot their wedding next month! A few of my favs from today along with a slideshow.

March 16th, 2010As photographers I believe that we should always strive to find better ways of doing things, and by finding ways to be more efficient we can have more time. Wouldn’t that be nice? We all need more time! So here’s something to consider. Change the way you blog. If your’re with Showit you freaking have it made! Let’s get rid of that LONG wait for bloated wordpress blogs to load because you have 5 posts with 20 images each. Embed a gallery from Showit and reduce that load time by 1000%! Let’s give our clients what they need the quickest! Photos!
We have the power to be YOU-nique with Showit and we already have a stellar blogging platform like WordPress. Let’s leverage the two and change the way we display our images!
Check out this gallery I just put together in Showit. I’m going to blog with this gallery from now on when I have just a few photos to show. It’s literally faster for me to change out photos in Showit, than it is for me to mess with WordPress image library. When it comes to a wedding or engagement and I want to post my favorites I’m just going to embed their +Site right here on my blog!

March 4th, 2010I’m so stoked to finally meet all you guys! I’ll be kickin’ it with the Showit crew all entire week so come by and say hi!!! Most of this stuff is going down at the Signature at MGM.
I’m flying into Vegas on Sunday and will have nothing to do that day so hit me up and we’ll connect! Other than Tue night I don’t have any evening plans at all. I’m just a spec in the wind the whole week but these are concrete plans so far. Read more

2-3 PM – Presentation with Becker (also unveiling something VERY special via Spilled Milk Designs)
1-5 PM – Showit Genius Bar – Come by and rack my brain!!!
Can’t wait!! It’s gonna be so awesome!

As usual your photographs excel in beauty, color, composition and class. The originality of Nicola and Jason’s engagement photos was superb and her bridal portraits are fantastic! I can’t wait to see the photos you take at the wedding next month!
